Our History
In 2009, Cheryl Cucinotta Hargaden had a dream, passion and vision. She practiced yoga for 10 years before she discovered Power Yoga and It changed her life! Cheryl used her life savings and purchased the Westmont building. Anjali became the first Power Yoga studio around. It swiftly grew and led to the opening of three additional studios in Avalon, Voorhees, and Philadelphia.
Here and Now
In the Spring of 2024, Cheryl rolled up her Anjali yoga mat and retired to sunny Florida. Her daughter Lucia transitioned from her role as Director of Anjali Power Yoga to another career path with her own business LC Counseling.
Longtime yoga student, teacher, and mentor Keith Heyser purchased Anjali Power Yoga. Keith’s vision remains the same – to create an inviting, clean, and clear space for physical, spiritual, and community transformation.
